Ready.For.Drowning. Wolverhampton

Possibly my all time favourite song. Gives me the same excitement that I can only envisage that John Peel felt with The Undertones “Teenage Kicks”. 168 seconds of pure exhilleration, angst and fun.

They will always be in my top 3, if not my top band of all time. This track is the reason why. Encapsulates the anger of the valleys at the time, the frustrationof growing up with nothing to look forward to.

Enjoy.

Sometimes iTunes is just pretty.

Now we see the pictures in a way that was never intended. We have the chance to look inside a private collection of private memories. And, in so doing, our memories, or ideas for Their memories, overlap, overwhelm and extend the existing memories in these images, these moments recorded on film … ‘What we photograph today can have continued meaning in a time and place somewhere else, to someone else. What we then find is that we are all involved in every moment. We are all somehow included in what happens to all of us. We are collectively having lives, memories and futures.
Erik Kessels
To me, photography is the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event. - Henri Cartier-Bresson
